My Mother’s Wound (Turkish: Annemin Yarası) is a 2016 Turkish dramatic film. Annemin Yarası was released by BKM Film on 11 March 2016.Upon turning eight-teen, Salih leaves the orphanage to find his lost family and begins working in a Serbian farm. Suddenly, at the most unexpected moment he has found a home. Will he ever be able to let go of the ghosts of his past and be happy in this new life? As tension escalates disquieting secrets surface. A gripping tale of family, love and identity, My Mother’s Wound follows Salih as he searches for a trail of hope amongst war-torn lives.

Waise Salih (Bora Akkas) works on the Serbian farm of Borislav (Ozan Güven) and his wife Marija (Meryem Uzerli) where he feels comfortable – but Salih does not even know when he was born, instead he only knows his day off at the orphanage , He wants to trace his past, finally find his real family. An address, which gave him a teacher when he became 18, helps. More and more secrets are revealed, which also go back to the warlike past, whose deep scars are still visible in the present. Soon Salih has to ask himself whether he can at any time succeed in directing his gaze and to be happy with his new non-biological family.
