He was born in Nuremberg, Germany in 1975. He went to Mimar Sinan University Faculty of Fine Arts, Modern Dance Department. He has a son named Ali Ates. He acted as an actor in many TV and movie projects; performed as the face of many national and international brands. His major roles are Second Spring (1999), Balalayka (2000), Bir Istanbul masali (2003), G.O.R.A. (2004), A.R.O.G (2008), Canim ailem (2008), Yahsi Bati – The Ottoman Cowboys (2009), Dragon Trap (2010), Magnificent Century (2011).
